Snow and Update

I know, it's been a while. Alex is now a little over 7 months old and has been eating solid food since the first day of January. He has tried sweet potatoes, green peas, butternut squash, pears, carrots, apples, rice cereal and oatmeal. For the most part he likes them all with the green peas being his least favorite. He is sitting up, but will topple over if he tries to reach for a toy or something that is just out of his grasp. He weighs close to 17 lbs and is over 27 inches long. He has said mama and jibber-jabbers a good bit during the day. He is still going to sleep each night around 7 or 7:30 and gets up each day between 6 and 6:30. Most of the time he wakes us up talking and is quite the little mover in his crib each night. He never wakes up in the same spot that we put him to sleep in. He is rolling over during the night from his back to his stomach and vice versa.

This past Valentine's Day weekend it snowed between 3 - 4 inches!!! It was Alex's first time to get out in the snow and he didn't think too much of it. We let him touch it and he even tasted it with a very pronounced reaction of distaste. I think it was just the coldness that he was unsure about. Doug ventured out into the snow and created the Bentley family in snow form. As of today, there is still remnants of them. I'm sure they will not make it much longer though. Here are some pictures to help catch up.
